Rory O’Mahony

Rory O’Mahony is a visual artist based in Limerick. His practice is centered around an obsessive interaction with his personal memories, deconstructing, reinterpreting and erasing them through visual means. Focusing on sites and architecture that hold significance, he documents and records moments in time, responding to the memories that are contained within structures and places. Rory works ins a variety of mediums and forms including drawing, printmaking, film photography, video, painting, and sculpture.

Rory is currently studying at the Limerick School of Art and Design, completing a BA in Printmaking and Contemporary practice. He interned with Parallel Editions in 2018 and volunteered with the Limerick Printmakers on both assistant teaching positions and one-day events such as Limerick Culture Night. Recent exhibitions include Highly Flammable2018, Visible 2018, The Limerick Spring 2018, and LSAD drawing awards 2018,2019.
