Anna Blair (b.1998) will graduate from the School of Architecture UL in 2022.  She has practices in art and writing.  Her work is interested in how people they relate to each other.  This is explored through public space (online and physical), constructed social situations, and an examination of emotional existence.  These were researched and written about in her piece: 'Constructed Intimacies:  The Use of Public Space for Unconscious Participation in Performance Art'; which won the 'SAUL Best Dissertation Prize' (2019).  Her research looked at performance art that is not recognised as such by its participants but works to create unusual situations in public space as displays of otherness.

Anna disregards disciplinary boundaries in order to explore "the dark borderlands" of transdisciplinarity.  This led to her founding of ‘Creative Collaboration Limerick’, a collective that seeks to expand the conversation on multi- and transdisciplinarity in Limerick through the creation of events and networks.  CCL's most recent 'Transdisciplinarity and Creative Collaboration' event found that in the meeting of many people from different personal and disciplinary backgrounds, the common theme was that of the human experience.

Anna has been involved in cultural and professional experiences such as being a bursary participant of the European Cultural Academy's Venice City Lab, and Agile City's Test Unit.  She has published work in Bloomers and with The Young Art Writers Programme.  She has exhibited at K-Fest and the Online Performance Art Festival.  She has worked with David Chipperfield Architects, London, and SAUL IU: City Riverway Engage.  She is currently interning with Damien Hannigan Architects, Limerick.
