CAOILFHINN GEARY
Caoilfhinn Geary is a multidisciplinary artist and printmaker based in Limerick, exploring themes of introspection. She works through various mediums such as performance, photography, printmaking and poetry to express an inner world that reflects universally resonant emotions.
Her work often begins with a feeling, a setting or fragments of words that she’s jotted down. She’s interested in textures, light and dark, and how landscapes can be used as tools to express the overwhelming mental landscape, and provide an outlet for release.
Caoilfhinn graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fne Art Printmaking and Contemporary Practice from the Limerick School of Art and Design in 2023. She is a current member of the Limerick Printmakers where she teaches after school kids classes. In 2024, she completed a 3-month printmaking internship in Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, Venice, and co-founded the Limerick Zine Fest.
Her work has been recently exhibited in RISK/REWARD at the Limerick City Gallery of Art, The Limerick Show, at Ormston House, and at the 2024 Dublin Art Book Fair, Fictions: the makings of other worlds.
